Blown fuse

On my way to work I put my turn signal on and heard the fuse pop. Upon getting to work I pulled the fuse and sure enough it was blown #16 fuse. I had no turn signals and no hazards. My question is I also lost my brake lights. Should I have lost my brake lights with this fuse as well. It's a 99 tahoe 5.7

Update. I changed the blown fuse and still no turn signals hazards or brake lights. I'll have to play with it more after work

May have shorted something out, check into the turnsignal switch (brakes and turn signals both go through this switch).

Get a wiring diagram and go through that....
