I have a 99 Yukon and the blend door is broken. It is not the one the acuator mounts to it id the one just above that where the metal linkage goes to for the defrost.. You can move the door and tell the other side pivot shaft broke or fell out. Hoe big of a job is it to replace it? Thanks

its a good bit of work. mostly time consuming. You'll need to pull the dash out. Depending on what you find once the dash is out will determine if you need to pull the entire HVAC unit out or not. When I was working as a mechanic, with all of my tools and the right place, etc. to do it, It was usually about a 4 hour job. at home, I'd plan on an all day kind of thing.

Mine came apart, I pulled the heater core cover and could work my way up in there and pulled the door out, used a washer to shim one side and the side that fell out snaps into place, been in place ever since...... It still was a bear to work on, but I didnt have to pull the dash or HVAC unit....
