I'm interested in adding a xenon headlight kit to my 2008 Yukon Denali. Do any of you have any experience or information comparing the bi-xenon kits (a solenoid moves the lamp for low/high beam) vs. the kits that have a xenon bulb for low with a halogen bulb for high beam? Both seem to be widely available e.g. on ebay.

I would prefer the halagon highbeam, Which has 2 bulbs but is in one housing. I prefer this set up on my corvette. Reason being is that I have found with silinoid highbeams that all it does is change the beam pattern and I dont really see much more light down the road. I noticed this on my mustang with a 9007 HId kit, and also on my parents Lambda's with stock bi-xenon ones. I also notice im flashed more in a bi xenon, compared to a fixed beam xenon.

also, can you give me a link to a xenon kit with halagon high for a yukon??? cant find one and really want it.

Here's one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0033288425&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT&viewitem=

Or, search for H13-2.

I'm happy with this setup on my Vette but am a little concerned about ever finding a replacement lamp.

I have no experience with the bi-xenon, which seems to have some additional failure modes.

I haven't found any comparison tests on-line.

Thanks for the info. I usually dont go for the cheapy ones, but at that price theres not much to loose if it dont work. Now i just gotta get the bravery to tear apart my preety yukon. :smilielol: I wonder if i could get them in 4300k?

According to the info at the bottom of their ad, you can. Go for and tell us what you think. Sure seems cheap tho. Could be another chance to relearn the old "Ya get what you pay for" lesson.

I would love to try and find one with the little plastic shield over the xenon bulb. might create a better cut off. Then less blinding light to other traffic.

Does anyone know if the Escalade is bi-xenon or xenon/halogen?
