So my tahoe was stolen on 11/21/2009 in Bakersfield and they stolen the rims, stereo and the battery. I talked to insurance and have the option to buy it back for $1500 since it's salvaged. A drop kit was in the plans before but this made it final! What is the best drop on these? I heard Mcgaughy's in the #1 used kit. How is the ride? What shocks is recommended front/rear for this kit? I will be doing the 3/5 with a 305/35/24 or 295/35/24 with a 30 or so rim offset. What exactly is the "free travel mod" and are helper bags recommended to help the ride? Pics of tahoe's 3/5'd would be awesome!
Just found the insurance is selling it back for $1493.93. So this plan is a go!
