I just bought a 2003 Tahoe Z71 with the 5.3L and 120,000 miles. So far I have averaged about 14 MPG. I have only been driving 15 miles round trip to and from work. I am looking into buying a chip or programmer to improve my fuel economy. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what chip or programmer I should buy and what amount of MPG gains I should expect? Also, will this effect the life of my engine? Thanks for the help guys.
