A lot of us on this forum have the Volant intake. I really like it. As far as it being the best in terms of horsepower, I can't tell you that. Here is a pic if you are interested:

I just helped my friend put a K&N in his 08 Denali, and you can definately notice the power increase, not sure on HP as we don't have a dyno but you can definately feel it! :Chevy:

You said the "magic" word. No, honestly, I don't think anyone knows. I couldn't find any recent "CAI shoot-outs" or anything when I was doing my research, but I went with a non-metallic fully-enclosed system. Yep, I'm a Volant guy. It works great on my 6.2L, and Volant claimed some pretty high HP and torque gains on the 15253 07+ Denali setup (I'll have to dig 'em up -- I called and talked to a tech). I'll post them in the next day or so for your enjoyment. The "butt dyno" tells me that they're probably not too far off in their "ass"essment (hehe), but what do I know? Speak to the cheeks!

Eh, a lot of people on here like the Volant. It does look nice, and offers an enclosed system. Then there are some that are fans of the TrueFlow systems and some that like K&N (speaking of, any pictures of your setup fco_gonzo?)

I'm still debating the TrueFlow XDI or Volant. But it will have to wait till after Christmas!

I have the K&N and I def noticed a mid range power increase. As for the brand, I think for the most part they are all about equal. I have a pick of my K&N on Cardomain Link below.
Cheers.

Thanks a lot guys for the response so far. I'm slowly starting to lean towards VOLANT intake which according to the tests would give my Tahoe about 18 more horsepower and looks awesome. I researched several different companies that make intakes for my vehicle on the internet and found few that I wanted to consider: FUJITA, K&N, DUB air, and AFE stage 2 (that I loved at first - I read it would give up to 50 more horsepower, but when I talk to their tech., he said that 2007 Tahoe gains only 9 horsepower). I'm still open for suggestions and not 100% convinced about Volant, so if anybody thinks and can argue that any other intake is better than Volant, please let me know..................thanks

My engine compartment looks like a dust storm hit it. nothing fancy. I dont have any cool looking mods or fancy tirm, just mods that I'll get the most horsepower.

I have AFE Stage 2. Instructions weren't that great but I managed to get it installed. Definitely notice the giddy up...I mean this thing rocks, but I think it has more to do with the combo of the CAI and exhaust. Got a custom Borla exhaust with dual split rears. FYI, got an increase of 3-4 MPG with the combo.

Although I like the K&N I've been looking at the AFE, do you have any pics? I really want to see what it would look like installed! :Chevy:

Sorry.... been swamped. I will try to post pics soon.

One thing I like about this intake is that it has an air scoop at the base as well as from the side wall. Not sure if this is the case with other intakes.

I just installed Volant air intake to my Tahoe. The installation was very simple and it took me about 45 mins. I can feel and HEAR the difference. It's awesome. Thanks guys for help.
