My friend is looking to get either a Denali or Tahoe, but whats to know what handles better in the snow the Denali AWD or Tahoe 4WD. Am not to sure because I have never had a AWD vehicle.

My awd denali mashes in the snow, the pre-03 denali transfer case is way better than the 03+ so I'd get a tahoe if you want selectable 4wd. I love my awd and couldn't deal with any less than the 6.0.

no you are wrong. if you order a 2wd tahoe thats what your stuck with, if you get a 4x4 tahoe you can select 2wd Auto 4wd, 4hi then 4lo.

Denali and Escalade are the only two gmt 800 and 900's that come in AWD.

Yeah some Tahoes/Yukons are AWD. I looked in the owners manual, the AWD models have the 4low optoion, but no 4hi. It's the 3-button set up like this.

I would consider that a positive.

i would only like to loose it on a 2500, but i would rather have the security of it on a two or selectable 4wd. Saved my ass more times than i can think of. i have a vette that i can drag race or do donuts, dont need a tahoe to do that as well.

but some dont like it, because they want to do that stuff. Also some people think that the Stabilitrak is what slows them down on full throttle starts. Its actully your torque converter, if it did not activate you would loose your tranny or severly hurt it. :D

I love my 6.0 AWD denali, tested it out big time in the snow this last winter, it made it up some hairy stuff even in my bling performance tires, not bad at all!!
