While on a recent trip we were using an inverter and two of our 12-volt outlets stopped working. This happened one at a time. The first one blew and the next one up front still worked. So we figured it was a fuse or something and moved to the other one. It worked for an hour or so and then gave out as well. There are still three more that work in the vehicle. I checked the fuses and they are fine. It does mentioned something about thermal links in the manual. Has anyone experienced this or have ideas?

I don't know the exact layout yet but i'd probably look for a junction in the wiring for those two parts because the problems probably there. Or if they're right next to each other if one fuse goes the other one does too, but kinda doubt it's a fuse. The wires might meet within a foot of the outlets, or if they turn off when the cars off maybe they meet at a relay or coupling or something between the ignition harness and the fuse panel... Just ideas. Oh, and you might need a test light, even though you should have a wiring diagram in your manual. So its probably true that those thermal links or like it are probably the culpret. Are you over 36K for warranty? Sure is easier to let the mechanic tell you what part goes where, even after you pay him, but I hope someone else here can help you with that part before that happens. I always want to know how things work but sometimes you just want it done... Good luck not charging things in the back seat for too long. Hope I helped.
