Nayone have any info on the workings of the automatic headlights? I have a 99 Denali. With the light switch in the OFF position, it used to automatically turn on the headlights at dusk. Just yesterday, it quit to some extent. Now it only turns on the parking lights, no headlights!?!?:iq:

Check your lighting fluid levels, these almost always go low first. And if you must replenish then get the Halogen brand - more expensive but well worth your henway.

I had the same problem with my rear brakelight fluid. I recommend the Unobtanium brand.

if both went out, is it maybe a fuse? But I would think all fronts would go out if that was the case...

In this forum somewhere is a thread about disabling the DRLs with the dome override button. Like pressing some combination of times. But I think it resets itself each time you restart the vehicle.

Yes, I believe your right on the fuse but maybe I shall experiment when I get home this afternoon. On my panel its Fuse #15, and I shall remove it and see if the parking lamps stay on.

mads/ keep in mind my hoe is a '99 OBS. And if you try to research some more on line also check the term DRL-daytime running lights, hopefully find some further info.

nope, not mixing threads. try it on your vehicle, i do it every morning before physical training, waiting for 6 a.m. to show up, in the parking lot. if you depress your parking brake, even the slightest bit, it will disable your daytime driving lights. no lie. and we were thinking it could be that for your problem if its not a fuse
