another double din topic...02 -03 dash/hvac swap

Ive been doing some research and am having trouble coming up with exact anwsers. I want to put a double din in my 02 tahoe, however I want it to look factory so I am going to swap to a 03-05 dash. I also want to swap over the hvac controls since they are located in a different spot. The question I have is....
Is the wiring for the HVAC controls the same between 00-02 to the 03-05? Will I beable to plug and play these or will it require more. Hopefully someone else out there has as much attention to detail as I do. Thanks in advance.

The hvac systems are completely different in the 03-up models. Nothing will swap over plug-n-play. The easiest way is to mod the existing dash bezel or install a new one and mod the existing hvac controls to the proper location. I know you mentioned you want a factory look, but if the existing bezel is done right, it can be made to look stock.
