Well I brought my 04 Tahoe in to the shop yesterday for some service, had the tranny serviced (dropped the pan and new filter) they tried to sell me on flush but I personally don't like them.
I also had the A/C checked out, just blowing hot air no freon in the system at all.
I have rear A/C and the tech told me that the lines going back to the rear condenser are leaking, and they quoted $1750 to change them out, well that ain't going to happen. He was a pretty good tech he even put the tahoe back on the hoist and showed me where and how they run.

I'm considering two options, I can buy a rear A/C delete kit for like $50, or I can buy a set of rubber A/C lines that would run back to the condenser, they run about $289 or so plus shipping.

My wife ain't to happy with me as no A/C works on any car she can drive

Has anyone tried running the rubber lines back? If I did do that option I figure I could just leave the old lines in and maybe just zip tie the heck out of the new lines all the way back.

I am temped to say the heck with it and just buy the delete kit.

Any thoughts

i wouldnt run the rubber lines honestly cuz they are a certain type of line for a reason right? on the powersteering for example, you have a pressure hose and a return hose. the pressure hose has metal parts to it and the return hose doesnt. so they put those types of hoses there for a reason and i wouldnt change them to be honest unless you plan on taking the system out.
