Alarm issue

I just saw how they got into my Hoe to steal my 3rd row!
My question is...why didn't my alarm go off??
Well i was at the dealership today for other stuff and told the story and ask why my alarm didn't go off...the guy told me that it wasn't motion sensitive and only a anti-theft device. From what i could make from the mumble jumble...he said that the truck only has an anti-theft device.
I don't get this at all?
Is there a factory alarm on the truck or not?
What does it do?

mine i can set off if i pull the door handle a bunch of times and if i decide to jump on the rear bumper it sets it off.:crazy:
