Kind of a silly question, but I am thinking of picking up a lightly-used Tahoe. Once a year I go hunting and the forest roads are fairly gnarly. I did some research and it seems like the front air dam is removable on at least some years. I also read that some years are a little more difficult to remove and/or that the bumper kind of looks funny if you leave it off.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? I would also consider a Yukon if the air dam situation is any better. I am probably looking at only models with a 6 speed trans so I believe that eliminates 2008 and earlier. Would probably get the towing package just for the 3.42 axle and try to find one with a locker.
