Adjusting ebrake? Help quick!!

My wife an I just bought an 03 yukon and the ebrake goes all the way to the floor. I found the adjusting bolt under the door but it appears it has already been tightened all the way up. What do I do now?

take the rear wheels off and replace the e-brake pads. Someone probably drove around with the e-brake on.

Are you saying the vehicle has a different set of rear brake pads other than the normal brake pads?

yes. pull the rotor off, the inside of the rotor acts as a drum brake for the e-brake.
