Tahoe 2003 5.3 liter with the driver ceiling Auxiliary Automatic control panel:
Replaced rear cargo temperature blend door several times with variety of "exact replacement " parts.
None of the new replacement actuator parts have functionality.
When I swap the MODE VENT door actuator from vehicle into the place of the temperature blend door actuator, temperature blend works.
I conclude that the ceiling head unit temperature dial and the rear HVAC module send correct signals to the rear cargo temperature blend door actuator.
I feel that perhaps there is incompatibility with new parts??
The new replacement actuator keeps oscillating/ rotating the blend door just a millimeter each way.
This oscillation movement continues nonstop without ever parking itself into a final position.
Upon install of new actuator, I followed the recalibration procedure :
pulled HVAC 10 amp fuse, started vehicle with new actuator mounted / plugged. Idled approx 45 seconds, turn off , replace fuse, restart.
Result; same all the time-- actuator pivots only within a microscopic axis.
Any suggestions/ comments?
Replacement actuator has matching PIN pattern :
( 10, 9, space, 7,6,5 ).
I have tried these actuator parts :
Advance Auto : Motormite 604-100 $47.85 INCORRECT pin pattern, FAIL.
Amazon/ AA Ignition/ GWA Auto Parts $29.99 ; OEM #89018365, FAIL.
Amazon/ AA Ignition/GWA Auto Parts $19.97 ; OEM #16164972, FAIL.
Original part marked : 16164972.
