My husband works in the ND oilfield, and he was given the opportunity to buy a 2003 Tahoe Z71 4WD, total package for 5K. The motor had been replaced and had 50K on it. The interior has some minor repairs to be done, but the truck is in pristine condition overall! The previous owner had the emissions package completely redone as it was not passing inspection in his state.

Having the truck for a little over 4 weeks now, minor things are showing up, and with my husband gone 4 weeks at a time, I need to make sure I can get these things repaired without being taken advantage of since I am woman (sorry guys, some men down in Mississippi do not like women knowing something about vehicles!) Yesterday, my front AC quit blowing. There is still cold air seeping through the vents, and the back AC is working fine, but there is no forced air coming through the front vents on any setting. The odd things that have happened are that when you change the fan setting previously to this happening, there was a slight hesitation before the fan would kick in. Not sure if this is something normal or not. Also during a trip during this last weekend, I noticed that there were two times the digital display would not even come on during two different occasions. I thought it may have been just a display glitch and when I pressed the on button again, it came on both times. My concern is that normally someone would say this is the blower motor, but I am wondering if this could be electrical as you still feel the cold air coming out the vents; it's just seeping. None of the settings are working (dash, floor, or defrost). Any suggestions as to what I could check prior to purchasing a blower motor? Thanks.

Sounds like a blower motor resistor..... its under a cover on the bottom of the passenger side dash.... unbolt, unplug, replace and it should be fine..... I had to replace mine last month, the part was 30ish bucks..... Search here or youtube for detailed instructions....
