I hate AC, what a pain in the arse to fix. So here is my issue. I have 3 leaks on my AC lines that run to the rear air. The cost of the parts from the dealer ( only place I could find it ) is $650.00. What I am wondering is since it's a straight shot along the frame could I just splice in a line. I can buy the high presure ac line in bulk and the splice connections and then clamp them, I just don't know if they would hold.
Any body have any experiance with replacing a portion of an AC line and if it worked?
