Hello everyone,

I have a 2006 Tahoe, Z-71. LOVE IT!

I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

When I turn on my air conditioning, it works fine....however...
When I turn the knob (numbered 1 through 5) for increased blower through the vents...nothing happens, it's like I've turned the AC off. Settings 1, 2, and 3 work fine. 4 and 5 don't work at all.

In addition, the back light is out on the temperature lever, on one side. I'm guessing there's probably no way to fix that, short of purchasing a new one from the stealership?

I snagged this pic off of Google to show what kind of control I am talking about. Also wondering if I did replace this, could I use a different climate control, also installed in 2006 Z-71 Tahoes, or is this my only choice? And yes, I do have rear defrost.

Could this be installed instead? (Second link)

Thanks for any info you can share!

I don't think that you can use the digital controller but your speed adjustment may be the result of a bad blower resistor that is what I would check first....
