My AC compressor on my 2003 Tahoe 4.8l wont engage. Here’s what Ive done so far:
-replaced low pressure switch located on accumulator and checked wiring. I have 4.8 volts at the switch
-replaced oriface tube
-vacuumed system and added as much freon as I could (almost 3 - 12oz cans) with the compressor not kicking on. Gauges show about 100 on high and low side
-checked voltage at compressor and I have 13.8v
At first the compressor would cut out intermittently but now its off all the time. Thanks for the help!
