Hey guys... this is my first post and I appreciate the help. I went and had the brake booster and master cylinder replaced today on my 95 Tahoe 2WD. The mechanic replaced it and then said I needed an ABS module and I didn't have anti-lock anymore. Now, the brake light is on and it wasn't before he started working on it. I'm gonna go get an ABS module out of a junkyard. Does this really sound like the problem or what? I'm just a poor college student who just bought this thing last Thursday. I'd rather be buying books than more parts and labor, although I think my Tahoe is bad-@ss.

Thanks,
John

If there is a problem with the ABS module, the yellow ABS light will be on and the red brake light may or may not be on with it. If it is only the red brake light, then it is a low fluid level, or another fault with the base brake system. Take it back to the repair shop that worked on it, or take it to someone else who can further diagnose it properly.

- Also, how do the brakes feel.. pressure wise - they may have gotten air in the lines, and didn't bleed them

It has excellent braking now. I checked the fluid level and it's full. Shouldn't they have bled the system? And if it's truly the module, why doesn't the ABS light come on along with the Brake light?
