On the way back from some honeydoos. Coming about 40-45 mph, an idiot decided he could u-turn, at first i though he was gunna stay in his lane. I was in lane B He was coming from oncoming traffic. Anyway, he pulls out right infront of me. I slam on the brakes and swerve into an entrance to a strip mall. Everything was fine, I avoided him and did a couple of :fu:. But when I slammed on the brakes the peddle felt funny. Not the same way ABS usually feels, I know that it will pump for you but this kinda felt like the peddle was grinding on somthing. It was SUPER QUICK. Is it just that the abs is that good and it will pump that fast. Keep in mind there was a stedy rain coming down too. Or is there somthing wrong. I put the peddle to the floor but it felt like the powerbrakes just quit working once 3/4 of the way down, Its not the easy push to the floor that it is when trying it stopped. Now it stopped great (better than my mustang which got me in a wreck when a guy just pulled out in to my lane and I sided him) But im just kinda worried how the brake felt. Or Is it im Gun shy because of what happened. I have half of mind to go to a parking lot and try it again. O yea and wouldn't you know it he had an Obama 08 sign on his trunk. Car was a little kia thingy. So as we all know, if i did smack him, i would have walked and drove the truck home with a dented bumper, and he would have been riding to the hospital. Even though they say that if you rear end someone its their fault. I still would not have felt sorry since he pulled out infront of me.

This exact grinding pedal thing has happened to me before too, I was driving not really paying attention one day with some friends at night and then at the last second one of then shouted "the lights red" so I slammed on the brakes and hit a right turn to avoid smashing somebody and possibly getting a ticket from any possible cops, good thing it was late and their weren't too many cars on the road, but that grinding feeling was wierd, though it happened really quick.
Haha I'm an Obama 08 person and I can drive (not that all of them can, but there are for sure McCain 08 people that can't drive either), been doing so for 3 years without ever having an accident or receiving a ticket, apart from BlackOut tails BS which was a non-moving violation so it did really hurt/mean anything.

Nobody can drive here. I just added that cause i felt like it. I started driving here, then we moved to chicago where i learned from the best. The rush hour traffic drivers in 1' of snow. Here 1" of snow and they all go nuts and drive at 5 mph and still get in wrecks. Rain even screws them up.

Thanks for letting me know on the grinding, that makes me feel better. Funny thing is i was alone and paying attention. I have been in 3 wrecks. But none were my fault. And I was always alone. Two were fenderbenders and my latest one in july was a the biggest one where the airbags went off and it totalled my mustang. I walked, but still get kinda nervous driving on long trips. Also i have slowed down some on the roads. I used to go like 15-20 mph over (yes that means i would do 60 in a 45, i was just asking for it) but now i go the speedlimit or at most 5 mph over, And am also happy to be driving such a large truck.
