This has happened 3-4 times in the last year. I'll be driving down the road with the A/C blasting and all of a sudden it turns to heat. I turn the switches off and it's still blowing heat just as fast as could be. If I pull over, turn the truk off and then back on it's back to normal. It's an 05 Yukon with the basic(manual) A/C controls.
