Hello everyone I have a quick question. Recently My a/c hasn't been blowing that cold so today I opened the hood and noticed my compressor working (spinning) but never cycling on and off how it usually does. I touched the line that usually gets ice cold and it wasn't cold. What could it be? I don't have gauges to connect, but maybe someone has experienced something like this and could give me some advice before I take it to a shop tomorrow. Thanks!

you should really look at all the old threads, they can lead you in the right direction so we dont have all these new posts with the same questions all the time. but in any case to answer your question you need a recharge. the system is just low on freon

If your compressor was "working" then you should have a cold line around. Now the compressor pulley can be spinning but if the clutch is not engaged then the center part wont spin.

Center part (clutch spins) when a/c is on I turn the a/c off and it stops spinning. I know what your trying to say, but the clutch does spin when the a/c button is selected. As soon as I turn off the a/c button the clutch stops spinning. This leads me to believe that I might have a leak somewhere and there is still some Freon In the system to allow the clutch to cycle or spin. I could be wrong and I could just have a bad compressor, but again I'm no expert.

Yeah, you need to get a set of guages on it, or someone who knows how to work on them who has a set of guages....... Probably low.......
