A/C Heater control ??????

Hi all. I just bought a 2008 Tahoe LT 4wd. I came across someone who has the A/C Hetare contorls that are the digital style as opposed to the the manual turn knob one that I have. Will this digital style work as a direct replacemet? I also was wondering how the climate control knows what the temp is for the driver and passenger with the digital style? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

Will this digital style work as a direct replacemet? No Way too many electronics involved to attempt a swap.

I also was wondering how the climate control knows what the temp is for the driver and passenger with the digital style? There's a sensor above the driver's head in the headliner that has a small fan that sucks sample air in to maintain the setpoint temperature that is displayed digitally on the control head.

Yes its an LT1 with a few extra features. Steve
