This afternoon I replaced the battery in my 04 Yukon. When I cranked it up the drivers side now blows hot air and the passenger side is cold. I checked all the fuses and they're fine. The A/C worked fine before I changed the battery. Any suggestions would be great because Texas is too hot to be riding without air conditioning.

Hi there, new to the site.
This has happened to me on my 04 once before. make sure all of your accessories are off. Lights, radio, AC- everything. D/C the battery again, wait 10-15 minutes, then reconnect. Everything should work as normal.
Somebody told me once that you should turn off all accessories before you R/R the battery.
Only other thing I can think of is because the AC was on when you D/C'd the battery and then reconnected, a blend door on the affected side went into a full lock position and is not opening/closing as is should.
Try the battery again with everything OFF.
Hope this helps,
Jay

i am having the same problem, well, a little different--
i have the digital climate control....
drivers side vents blow ice-cold air, and the 2 passenger side vents blow air that feels like its 90+ degrees--i just installed a couple HIDs last night, and unhooked the + and - side of the battery--
i just bought the hoe on sept 18th, so if this does not work, im haulin her back to the stealership--
i'll be sure to post the outcome of this--

ok, people, this plain ole sucks.......
took the hoe into the dealer today, same one where my brother recently bought his truck, and after about 4 hours, they called and told me the passenger side blower vent actuator( i may have that wrong, but i do remember the actuator part) was faulty, and thats the only code that was coming up on it;;price is $645, labor, part and tax....i didnt know what else to do but tell him to go ahead with it....i didnt really want to take the entire dash apart, and try this fix myself....and i dont really have the time....:mad2:

That sucks man. Same thing happened with my '04 Yukon. The driver's side blew out 150F according to my pyrometer. Those are indeed actuator problems. I already posted a full explanation on this forum. Click this and look for my post:

You should try calling GM and complain of a safety issue, and get them to participate in the repair.

Yeah, unfortunatly I've never heard of someone getting a "good deal" on a replacement part or job. The amount they charge for some things is a huge slap in the face. My step-moms remote key broke to her Lexus es330 the other day. They wanted $100 for a new one. I'll put it this way...that didn't fly. Free keys for life :smilielol:
