99 tahoe lights

Quick question about Tahoe lights. Did tahoe's have automatic ray time lights? When I turn on the ignition on my 97 the outer lights come on and stay on. As soon as I need headlights and turn them on the outer ones turn off and the inner ones come on. Normal?

DRLs are usually indicated by a green indicator on the dash. They are usually the high beams in series (dimmer), of course your high beams are indicated in blue usually.....
