my tahoe needs help. i want to run a custom exhaust but the stock cats make it hard to get good performance. i can upgrade to high flow cats and run a custom made exhaust. flowmasters are fine but what about true duals out the back? i see everybody talking about the dual inlet single outlet exhaust. i want my hoe to breathe.
has anyone heard about gm's HT383? supposed to be a direct bolt in replacement for the 5.7 vortec. all fuel injection, intake, and sensors are supposed to hook right in. anyone that has this motor please let me know how it is.
lastly, what about computer mods? which works best? i'm looking at jet's power programmer, but i want to be able to reprogram my prom chip and do more than i think the power prog. is capable of. does anyone know of a pc program that would tap into the stock comp? thanks!

Nah, I'm running some black euros from ebay for tails, and they are actually very nice, they replace the stock tails and they remove the stock Board, that the tails had, they replace it with wires, instead of working with the electronic board (i had some tail light issues w/ that board) and they plugged str8 into the factory plugs - and the headlights/bumpers/corners are all one package off of ebay

this is the headlights..

you can probably find the cheaper - just look up, something like "94-98 CHEVY TAHOE PROJECTOR HEAD LIGHT"

My taillights are these

But, i can't find them on Ebay anymore.. However, this website has them, and headlights for the kon and hoe

Just have no clue on how to order, or pricing

--edit--

However, i think one of the best body mods i did, was remove the badges, and the rubber bump trim... - you can do this with a thin peice of piano wire (which i got for free at a local piano store) and some 3M Adhesive Remover Spray.. just put the piano wire behind the front corner of the rubber bump trim and start sawing backwards.. - than use Liberal Amounts of the 3M Spray and a good rag, to get rid of all of the glue - i also removed the roof rack, and went to wal-mart got the little chrome plastic things they they sell for License Plate tag bolts, painted them to match color and glued them over the holes..

thanks for the info! i like the idea about the license plate bolt covers to plug the holes in the roof rack. i've always wanted to take it off but i didn't want to have to weld the holes up and refinish the whole roof. i had a 93 silverado and removed all the badges and bump trim. it totally changes the look; more sleek. i'll probably take em off this weekend. another way to remove the trim and glue is with a hair dryer. just heat the trim up and the glue usually releases pretty easy. auto body supply stores also sell a magic eraser wheel that u can put in a drill. it works just like a pencil eraser and takes the double sided tape right off. no worries about scratching the paint or anything.

I used the eraser last week on my yukon and it burnt the clear or made it cloudy or something I cant get it off so be careful of the "magic wheel" :cuss:

You have to keep the wheel moving, I removed all of my molding using my 18 volt cordless dewalt without any problems. :D

Dropped94, nice grill. very nice lookin truck.

Chris, you can get the OBD to USB connector for your ride on ebay ( maybe 80ish dollars) then there are computer programs you can download, and also purchase, depending on what you want to do to the vehicle.
