4 inches of snow last night, girlfriend has to go to work so I start up the tahoe and let it warm up. Hit the 4x4 hi switch and it just blinks. Tahoe is now useless to me. 4x4 worked when I got it, was summer time. Now when I need it it leaves me stranded. Her front wheel drive car works fine in the snow but my tahoe dont. I'm selling it soon as the weather clears up and getting an old blazer. No more useless computer crap. From what I have found it will cost me near 1000.00 in just parts to fix it and I only paid 2500.00 for it so that tells me it's not worth my time. If yall know anything better I can do I'd like to keep it. But if I can't rely on the 4x4 cause of cold weather it's useless to me

Well, first off if it is blinking something is not engaging, will the front propshaft turn with the button pushed (i.e. the transfer case has engaged?), or if it doesn't turn then the front actuator will probably be the culprit, with the front end jacked up, rotate one of the wheels, see if the other one will turn opposite.
