Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and would like to thank everyone for all the helpful information posted here. I currently have a problem with a vibration at 70 mph and only 70 mph. I have had all tires balanced and an alignment done and still have the vibration issue. Not sure if the u-joints would cause this, as my experience with them going out is the vibration gets worse as you increase speed. If I drive below 70 mph no vibration and if drive over 70 mph no vibration, kind of frustrating to pin point! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few thing that someone suggested for me to do when i had that problem
ranging from wheels, shocks, driveline or rearend...just to name a few.

first thing I'd check is wheel balance, then maybe u-joint play, could be that your drive line itself is not balanced or shocks are wore out...could be something simple like your exhaust is hitting the frame at higher speeds...

I never really figured it out. i dont know if it still does it or not. I will let you know when i get it back from putting a new transmission in it.

Thanks guys for the responses. I had my tranny diagnosed and no issues present, so will probably change out u-joints and see if that will solve the problem. Not sure what else it could be since the tires have been balanced and an alignment was done before new tires.

I'm having the same issue on my 99 Yukon. I figured the tires needed to be balanced, but haven't had the time or rush because I mostly drive in town.

Are there any "tests" we can use while everything is on the vehicle?

Thanks
