Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and was hoping someone could help me. Wednesday night I was coming up to my driveway, and my anti-lock brakes kicked on. This is normal for me on ice, which we had a lot of Wednesday night. The problem is that while the anti-lock was engaged, my brake pedal started sinking to the floor, which is not normal. I know that my pedal will pulse while the ABS is doing its job, but the pedal has never went that low before.
My step dad was a mechanic for over 15 years and specialized in Chevys. We did some checking, and have no brake fluid leaks anywhere that we could find. Checked all the brake lines, they were fine. We determined that I needed a new MC, so we installed one. Bench bled the MC, adjusted rear drum brakes and bled the back brakes. Once we were finished, I tested my brakes. I have brakes, but the problem is that when I press the brake pedal, it is stiff, but if I keep constant pressure on the pedal, it will slowly creep towards the floor, which it did not do before all of this started. Can anyone help with this? I use my truck as an everyday vehicle and I also tow toys with it, and I do not feel all that comfortable right now with my brakes.
