hi all, new to the forum.
i have a 96 tahoe 5.7 with 170k, always had a minor knock that cleared up after a minute or two but now it sounds like the exhaust pipe slapping the frame and takes about 5 minutes to clear up. Ive googled the problem and most answers were to flush engine to clear debris from lifters. any thoughts on this would be appreciated. if it were a rod bearing would it actually clear up as the oil heats and flows? i cant imagine a lifter being that loud. HELP!!!
