4x4 winding sound

When I put my vehicle to 4WD and place it on drive and begin driving there's a loud winding sound and the vehicle doesn't really want to run.
What can it be?
How can I fix it?

Sounds like it could be a bad bearing either in the transfer case or front differential, since it doesn't do it in 2wd. I would not use 4wd until you have it checked by a repair shop. JMHO and good luck.
