I live in phoenix, az and it was around 110 this weekend. Driving down the freeway doing 70–75 I was towing an empty piddly ass utility trailer, maybe 7-800 lbs, and the tranny temp was between 225-230*! That is ridiculous. There's no reason it should be that high. Checked the tranny temp when I got home and the level is right where it should be. I know everyone says to get a cooler but what would be better, a cooler or a deep tranny pan? Or both...
