2009 Tahoe tow ratings?

Does anybody have any information on the tow ratings for the 2009 Tahoe? I'd like to know what a 5.3L 6-speed with 3.08 rear end will pull. I am ready to buy, I am just waiting for Chevy to post some info on their website about the 2009's.

3.08 - only available w/2WD. N/A with K5L Heavy-Duty Trailering pkg. N/A with 6.2L V8

max trailer weight - 5400 lbs

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably stick to the 3.42's then, cause towing the boat with 3.08 will be cutting it too close.

I have 3.42s on both of my Tahoes, fine for towing, gives you a boost as far as gas mileage, too.

I would also recommend getting the 3.42. It is the medium ratio, that will give you more flexability. The 6 speed tranny will give you the added mileage, as long as you not in the mountains or something that would cause you stay in the low gears.

If you order the HD trailering package i think it increases the tow capacity. I have yet to confirm. Any feed back out there?
