2008 GMC Yukon Denali instrument lights and radio issue

I am the new owner of the above vehicle. When I turn off the car the instrument panel lights do not go off. Also, the radio (factory w/GPS) does not go off when I open the door. I shut the radio off manually but the LCD dispay stays on with the time. Everything eventually shuts off after 10 minutes. Please advise.

I have had this problem off and on for about three months. It turned out to be the door switch was either going bad or a loose wire. Had to change the door latch assembly and so far so good. Probably a DIY project but I didn't want to have a rattling door after. $270.00 with parts and labor.
