Help! I'm seeing several people that have the same Stabilitrak Off and Engine Power reduced issues and I'm still having the same problem. I cleaned the throttle body, checked the drive by wire plug at the throttle body, and did a tug test on the wires. Everything was fine. I left the battery unplugged overnight and I drove the car for 20 minutes today thinking it was fixed and then the idiot light came back on, as did the error messages with Stabilitrak Off, Traction Control off, and Engine Power Reduced.

I plugged the OBD II in and got a 2138 error code.

I've got a 2007 Tahoe, 2WD, with 76000 miles on it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Read where these things needed cleaning, so I bought a can of "SEA FOAM" from the auto store. It cleans all the carbon buildup and ethanol varnish out of the motor, plugs, and sensors. Pour it in the gas tank and let the car idle for about an hour. Turned the car off and my problem cleared itself up. Have used "SEA FOAM" in all my cars and lawnmowers in the past but just hadn't got around to it lately. I read on hear where people were spending up to $700 at the dealer to have this problem solved. SEA FOAM is less than $10. You need to do it about every 6 months. One can per tank of gas.

I'm at the dealership right now with the exact issue. Already $105 into it. Got a scanned code of P1516. Have them looking it over but I'm going to walk out now and 'sea foam' and TB clean this weekend. So beyond pissed I didn't comb the forum first.
