My 1st post. I read a lot on here and I learn a lot from you guys ... so I figured I would share my experiences and maybe help someone else out.

2007 Tahoe LT 5.3L FLEX 155K. I'd been getting P0302 codes so figured it was finally time to do the plugs and wires. Went with the AC DELCO Part # 41110 Iridiums based on input here.

Soon after, I started getting a louder and louder noise from the engine whenever I accelerated. Finally got the catastrophic Stabilitrak Disabled Warning, and then a huge loss in engine power. Checked it with the code reader and found P0300.

Limped it to the dealership and left it there after hours. Did a key drop and a crude description of the problem. I read the boards all night, but I could not come up with a convincing culprit.

Dealer calls and says Catalytic is shot and needs to be replaced ... he was 99.5% sure that was it. Mulled it over for a bit, but finally decided to let the dealership take care of it. I know I could have done it on my own ... but I wasn't in the greatest position to limp the car back home and wait for the parts.

Maybe coincidental ... but I never heard the noise until the new plugs and wires were installed.

$1,400.00 later and it seems like the problem is solved ... 1 week of driving without any problems ... for now.
