Hello,

My 2007 Tahoe (156k) is starting to shudder for a short period of time when leaving a stop or in low speed (5-20mph). It almost feels like when you drive on a washboard gravel road?

Thanks for any input.

I check the fluid and it doesn't appear to have any contamination on the stick. I an going to change the fluid and filter and see what impact that has.

It is intermittent but it seems like it does it after you leave a stop or you slow down to say 10-15mph and then it does it when you start accelerating. I haven't noticed it is pre or post shifting from 1st to 2nd.

Because it is intermittent it has a tendency to catch me off guard and I can't recall if it was during the shifting process. I don't recall it doing it until you have driven for a bit, so its warmed up?

Yea hopefully its just water intrusion sometimes what happened is if the transmission dip stick isn't locked/latched water will drip off the the wiper arm grill cover right into the trans dip stick tube... or the radiators integrated trans cooler will leak coolant into the transmission fluid... the other scenario is a fracture in the torque converter. . Again if its between shift points whether it the 1-2 up shifts on down shifts
