Need someone's help.. Perhaps you've been here before? Have a problem with my Yukon that I thought at first might be related to a starter. Started acting funny a few days ago when I tried to start it. Wouldn't turn over the first time, then started. Second time, started and jerked. A few hours later when leaving a job, same thing happened.. Ran fine once it started, no idling problems etc.. (FYI, Battery was replaced 6 months ago). Phoned a mechanic who told me to start it up yesterday. Started 3 times with no issues. Told me to bring it down the following day and we will order a starter if needed once checked.. Today, tried to start it and it would not turn over. No clicking, no struggle to turn over, all gauges at starting point. No oil pressure, nothing.. although the radio worked. Seemed it was the battery so jumped it. Nothing. Called AAA who checked the starter and tried to jump it as well. Nothing. Called the tow truck who tried again. Nothing. Had it towed to mechanic who said battery and starter are fine but still won't turn over. Not sure if it is electrical or what on earth is going on. Key fob doesn't work now either.. Anyone had this problem or are there any known issues I should know of? Help.

Just went thru a no start on a 07 Tahoe LTZ and it was the BCM. When it happened I lost the remote start, sunroof, rear liftgate and other things. Acted like the battery was dead but was the same with a jump start. BCM was over $300 plus labor.

Hey man,

I've seen this on a few tahoes, yukons and denalis. The vehicles sometimes started fine with no apparent issues(battery, starter, parasitic draw etc) when they got to the shop, but customers reported sometimes they wouldn't start even when hooked up to jumper cables. I've been frustrated with this a few times as I'm a GM tech, because when everything tests fine it's impossible to find the fault. Your problem sounds like it's the main underhood fuse block. GM has a service bulletin out for this issue. Do you have an extended warranty?
