Where the Pittman arm goes into to gear box is leaking. My question is if this looks right. I don't want the Pittman arm bolt to be loose and come off while I'm driving. Should the bolt be coming out of the nut at all. Or does this look snug enough

If you see a split lock washer that is spread apart then it is loose and needs tightened. The leak is the sector shaft seal. Keep an eye on your p/s fluid and keep topped off till replace the steering gear with a good AC Delco brand. Will want to recheck and adjust alignment as needed. I would get the whole front steering and suspension pieces inspected for replacement and do it all at once.

Thanks for your reply! I am getting a new gear box installed in the next week. I just had my ball joints and control arms and all that good stuff replaced with MOOG parts and Chris (mechanic I let do my work) said it started leaking because it was the last thing that has not been replaced in the front end. Thanks again!
