Having real hell with this one. Got me bum fuzzeled. 04 Tahoe 4X4 . Front brakes smokeing, frt brakes both sides locked up. Raised vehicle front end up attempted to spin the wheels both front are locked. loosened BOTH front lins at Master cylinder but did not help. Loosened bleeder at left front wheel & fluid shot out & BOTH front wheels will no spin. No key on power just reached in & stepped on pedal & the relocked again both front. Opened bleeder on Right side caliper & wheels released BOTH. SO is there is a possiblity that the ABS hydraulic unit is holding pressure on the front Calipers as I see no way that these 2 front calipers are tied together except through the Abs Hrydraulic unit on the frame. OR am I missing something else. Figured if it was a front brake hose at the caliper it would only hold one caliper not both but bleeding off either caliper bleeder screw releases both front wheels.

Got it fixed but new problem has appeared. Replaced BOTH front brake hoses apparently they both collapsed in the rubber & resurfaced both front rotors. Replaced front brake pads....New problem is ABS/TCS light is now on & the code is C0110 Abs Pump Motor faulty. Looks like it is gonna need a ABS Pump/Motor assembly

I just experienced a similar problem of front brakes locking up on '02 Tahoe 4x4. You got the problem fixed. What was the problem specifically that got resolved? Was it the hoses collapsed and held pressure on the calipers? If you relieved pressure on one caliper, it should not have relieved pressure on the other. That leaves two other possibilities: 1) is the brake master cylinder for front axle stuck and didn't allow fluid to return to reservoir (affects both calipers) or 2) the two separate solenoids on ABS for the front brakes remained closed. Two solenoid sticking at the same time seems remote. Was this a prelude to a problem with the ABS motor control that you experienced later? I am asking because I am experiencing the same issue. I don't want to replace the ABS unit or the master cylinder until I am comfortable in troubleshooting the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated from you and/or the forum leader.
