Now I know this has been asked a million different times but let me explain my personal experience. I've read up on the door ajar error message and chocked it up to a bad door lock actuator/microswitch issue so I ordered the part brand new and replaced it. The new unit worked all of 1 day and the issue came back. With my old door lock actuator the issue was intermittent however with the new one the error stays on my dash all the time. Same symptoms as everyone else dome lights stay on alarm goes crazy and doors dont lock whenever a gear is selected. I've metered both of the plugs and wires with no open leads and i've jumpered both leads with power and no power. No change. The doors will surprise me every once in a while and actually lock whenever i select a gear so i know that the actuator/microswitch portion is still getting power. After more research the BCM seems to be at fault but no one seems to know if it needs a flash or even where to get a flash. Does this seem to be the root cause? I've looked through 5 different forums on advice.... everyone has a little piece to add but no one has the complete solution. If anyone happens to have ANY advice as to how to fix this issue please let me know.
