I have an odd issue that I'm hoping that someone will be able to help with.
My instrument cluster is dead and before I go and replace it, I wanted to check the fuses and the relays. I did and found all to be fine. When I started the truck after the check, my radio was not working but within seconds came back. So far so good. I then drove to a destination about a mile away. Turned off the truck. Turned it on again and as I accelated, the chime came on and dinged loudly and continusly. So when I stop the the vehicle, it goes off, accelerate, it comes on.
It's only been one day but I don't think I can live with this. From reading other posts, I learned that the key chime is built into the radio and I tried many of the suggestion on how to turn it off to no success.
Any ideas before I end up in the loony bin having to listen to a constant dinging? Thanks.
