2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71 150,XXX miles

-My front drivers side rides low even with the torsion bar key fully tightened (passenger side rides/looks factory correct with the key only tightened half way). This leads me to believe it is time to replace my torsion bar(s).

Options:

1. Replace my torsion bars with factory “XL†bars
(Part number: XL-15048309LH & XL-15048310RH) rated for 4626 lbs

2. Upgrade my torsion bars to “XM†fleet bars
(installed on SSV, PPV Tahoe’s)
(Part number: XM-15048311LH & XM-15048312RH) rated for 5638 lbs

If I understand “Torsion Bar†suspension systems correctly if you buy an aftermarket or “Ford†torsion key you are utilizing the factory torsion bar and the new key is cast with a higher rotational angle to imply a greater amount of rotation/torque thus raising the front of the vehicle (aka. “Leveling Kitâ€)

-So if I buy higher rated torsion bar (“XMâ€) and use the original torsion key I should be able to level out my truck with minimal adjustment….? (Unless the higher rated torsion bar hex ends are cast at different rotational angles per heavier weight rating?)

I am not trying to lift my truck but I would like to level out the front/back suspension while maintaining consistent reliability. I do not off road other than the occasional open field or frozen lake. I am looking at the higher rated torsion bars due to the poor performance of the stock “XL†bars with only 150,XXX miles.

Please chime in with any/all advice. Thanks.
