I have a 2002 Tahoe that is 2 wheel drive.
It started clunking from a deadstop in drive and reverse. Neutral is fine.
Sounds like it is coming from the transmission.
Sounds like loose parts and it had a rapid click with the clunking.
Any ideas? Transmission shot?
Thanks

Just drove Tahoe. It didn't clunk at all & shifting great in drive while rolling but when I put it in reverse it started doing it when rolling backwards and continued doing it when put back into drive.
Maybe not transmission? Rearend? Driveshaft was definitely absorbing the resistance, there was tinging through it.
