If anyone has a Tahoe with AirRide, is it normal for these to adjust every time you restart the vehicle?

from what i understand the auto leveling air ride "deflates" after the truck is turned off... everytime you start the vehicle it refills and adusts for the load. someone elese with more knowledge might know more but that seems to be what ive come to find out. i have the same system on my 03 denali and my compressor kicks on every time i start the vehicle and adjusts itself

I have an'05 and the only time mine adjusts is when I load it up or hook on to something. I wonder if you might have a small air leak in your system.

my 05 will kick on most of the time. Especially if it has been sitting for a while. The system does lose some air over time which is normal. But if one of your shocks is leaking be prepared to shell out some money to keep them. I already had to replace one of mine at around 56K.

Don't know about smoother ride, this is only one I have had, but towing is really good. I tow a large pontoon boat and is very stable. One friend I have has got one without AirRide say's pulling his Bass Boat was not stable, ended up getting a truck to pull his boat. I think he has an 07, but I just find that hard to believe!

I installed the Air Lift adjustable air springs in the rear on my 04 Z71 Tahoe. These eliminated any sag in the rear when towing my 25 foot camper. With the bags full and no trailer the ride is much stiffer, which is resolved by reducing the air pressure. I also installed the controller so I could fill on demand when towing or carrying heavy loads. Both where less than $200.00 and I did the install myself. I am very pleased with the setup.
