Hey guys,

Ill try to explain this the best way i can...I have a 2001 5.3L Chevy Tahoe, It has approx 140k miles on it...It runs absolutely flawlessly except for 1 nagging issue..

Whenever i come to a red light or stop sign etc.., the truck stutters like it wants to stall..It has never stalled, but i need to get this issue fixed, i ran a diagnostic test, but get back no codes..

I cleaned out the Throttle body out, but it didn't fix the issue..At one point the truck engine light came on and the code was PO122..So i replaced the TPS , but still no luck...Changed out all the plugs and wires..Still nothing..I'm kinda at a loss here on what to try next..Any advice will be much appreciated...Thank you all in advance..

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Go ahead and clean the MAF sensor as well, but you may be due for O2 sensors. They can be going bad and causing slight tuning issues without throwing a code, especially if they are the originals.

Thank you for the quick reply.. I'm gonna try to clean the Maf sensor first as you suggested, if that does not work, which o2 sensor should I replace? I think there is 4 of them if my research serves me correctly..

Honestly, with your mileage I would go ahead and bite the bullet and replace all four, this way you know they are all good and will not be causing any issues. Since they are not throwing codes, they may just be "on their way out". Replacing them all will ensure that you won't be doing it again in the near future on another one and you are not making multiple trips to the part stores and taking more time to wind up replacing them one at a time.

Plus, if they all are on their way out, this could be why your truck is having issues.
