2000 tahoe rear side door wont open.. HELP

Ok guys im at a loss. My son shut the rear side door on the drivers side the other day and i noticed going down the road that it hadnt shut all the way, so i thought. I stopped and it wasnt latched at all just in the closed posistion. I tried to shut it a few times and it wouldnt latch. It finally shut and now it will not open from the inside or out. The door lock sounds like its actuating properly but it wont open. How in the world do i get the door open and what has gone wrong in it to cause this??

Is there a possibility that the seat belt got caught in the latxh assy but either way pretty much screwed there's a srew below the inside door pull handle thats the one you pull on ro close the door and one to the bottom right of the door panel 7mm hex screws pull up and see if you can get it out and or off oh on the inside puul handle the one to open the door there a bezel you need to pop that out too prior to popping off the door panel once its off see what you can do to open it
