Hey everyone,

I was wondering what major differences were throughout the years of the Tahoe from 2000-2006? While shopping I have noticed it is much more affordable to get into an earlier year with the same miles as one of the higher years.

So my question is what would be the main reasons to get into say a 2005 instead of a 2001 if they both had the same miles? I am not too worried about rust or that sort of thing because I am buying down south. The only thing I can think of would be some wear here and there on certain parts drying up, etc..

I imagine resell value may be vastly different between the two down the line

Before I bought my 2004 back in 2006, I came across an internal GM PowerPoint presentation (Google is your friend) that reviewed the changes between 2003 and 2004 Model Years. There were some subtle aerodynamic changes that were made (changed shapes, added bits of plastic here and there, etc.). The end was that the 2004 and up models got slightly better gas mileage than the older ones. I have no idea where that presentation is, where I found it online, or who was the actual creator of it, but it did help me focus my search on 2004 and higher.
