1999 Tahoe Rear swap

Hello everyone ,wondering if anyone could help me here. I own a 1999 tahoe 2 door 5.7 4wd rear drum brakes, leaf springs,(G80) (Gu6) rear. I want to swap my rear axle that has drum brakes to an axle that has disc brakes. I know they make a conversion kit for disc brakes for the rear but its to expensive. Is there any other newer axles with disc brakes that would fit a 1999 tahoe??? I dont think its possible but ya never know....

Ive heard there were, but I really don't know, keep looking.... you'll find it....

IIRC some of the newer body style trucks have disc brakes, but they can be problematic at best.

Post back and let us know what you find... I had a 99 NBS with the rear disc and really the parking brake wearing fast was the only issue I had with that axle, I don't know why one of those axles wouldn't work, might need a different proportioning valve tho....
